No Water Off a Duck's Back
Description
Students become wildlife biologists, studying feathers when they are wet, dry or soaked in oil. By interpreting their discoveries they realize that oily feathers create havoc for ducks. They try cleaning the feathers and then think about how successful their efforts would be on a larger scale.
